Calgary is a different story. In 2 years, scanning Kijiji on a daily basis (for some reason it's the cool buy/sell site here in Alberta), all I've bought is a globe-of-the-world lamp (Scroll down to corner cabinet). The selection is fair at best and exorbitantly overpriced.
Yet, nearly the whole city was built post 1947. There was buckets of money here in the 50s-late 60s. SO WHERE IS THE MID CENTURY FURNITURE?
I have a theory that a city built on new, continues to crave only new. Infills and shiny new cars are rampant here. Should I be looking in the dump? I'm starting to think that's where it ends up.
Anyways, I thought I would share my pain with readers, since I'm inundated with posts/tweets/etc on daily cheap finds on Craigslist seemingly everywhere except for here*

Hot stuff, and good finds. Yeah, some people list their Kijiji furniture at way more than it should be -- but they do that with most categories. I've found people are reasonable to bargain with, as long as you don't insult them right off the bat with an obscenely lowball offer.
That is a ridiculous price for the warming cart! We have that exact piece in our kitchen (sans the warming unit) and use it as a rolling bar. There is actually another one just like it for sale here on craigslist for $60, and it has the warming unit still.
We love ours and it looks fantastic setup with our Scotch, Dorothy Thorpe roly poly glasses and other accessories, but I can't believe anyone would ask that much for one!

That dining set is broyhill Brasilia and worth at LEAST $1,000 in even halfway decent condition. There's your awesome find! It's probably the most popular and well loved American mid century designs. Just because you don't recognize it doesn't mean amazing stuffs not there!
Kijiji is not that bad I guess if you know how to use it. And as far as I know it works pretty good on most of the devices. You can use it on your Laptop, Desktop computer if you want.
